Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Emergency Veterinarian. Treating cats, dogs, pocket pets, and exotics, this well-established 24/7 Specialty, Emergency, and General Practice hospital has been serving the community since 1971. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering high-quality emergency and specialty care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, providing emergency and critical care for a wide range of patients. You’ll assess and stabilize emergency cases, diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, perform emergency procedures as required, and work closely with specialists to deliver the highest standard of patient care. This position includes 3 overnight 12-hour emergency shifts. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital provides the full scope of GP and ER services, alongside specialty services in Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Integrative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Oncology, and Surgery. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, endoscopy, laparoscopy, an on-site 64-slice CT with 3D reconstruction, ultrasound, and an MRI scanner. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and committed to using fear-free techniques when possible. As a 24/7 facility, the hospital provides round-the-clock care.

Team
You’ll become part of an experienced team of 18 veterinarians, including specialists in cardiology, radiology, emergency and critical care, general practice, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, and surgery. The collaborative culture encourages cross-disciplinary case discussions, allowing specialists to work closely together while delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
