Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their team in Cookeville, Tennessee. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a varied emergency and urgent care caseload, providing high-quality care to small animal patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Responsibilities include independently working up and managing emergency cases, performing surgical procedures when required, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, and collaborating with fellow veterinarians and support staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Clinical exposure includes emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, and advanced diagnostics. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians who enjoy the autonomy of emergency practice while benefiting from a supportive and collaborative hospital culture.

Practice Details
For more than 55 years, the hospital has served the Upper Cumberland region as a trusted provider of emergency and advanced veterinary care. Operating as a walk-in-only practice, the hospital provides emergency services and advanced medical care supported by state-of-the-art technology. Equipment includes digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic laser technology, a dedicated surgical suite, a full in-house laboratory, and CT imaging coming soon. Services offered include emergency and critical care, wellness care, dental care, surgery, boarding, diagnostics, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology and cancer care, behavior counseling, nutrition counseling, and end-of-life care. The hospital is committed to continuous learning, professional development, and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment focused on delivering elevated veterinary medicine. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.

The hospital is staffed by 9 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative team includes experienced veterinarians and highly skilled technicians with extensive experience caring for a wide variety of patients. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
