Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital treats cats and dogs and is looking for a veterinarian to support their emergency service.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves managing the full scope of emergency veterinary responsibilities, handling a diverse and often fast-paced caseload. The successful candidate will be expected to provide urgent and critical care, working through a variety of medical and surgical emergency cases. Doctor hours are open to discussion, offering flexibility. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24/7 and delivers a full scope of emergency services. The practice moved into a brand-new facility in 2022 and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a complete surgical suite, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, cold laser, and a full in-house laboratory. With over 30 years of service in the community, the hospital has built a strong reputation and maintains excellent relationships with surrounding referral practices. The caseload is varied and engaging, supported by a robust daily schedule and access to advanced resources.

Team
The team consists of 7 full-time DVMs supported by a comprehensive support staff. The workplace is collaborative, with organized team-building activities and a strong emphasis on personal wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
