Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency and Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their companion animal practice. This expanding small group day-practice is launching a new Emergency/Urgent Care service within a recently expanded facility and is looking for a doctor to help lead and establish this offering. The hospital provides care for companion animals and is focused on delivering modern, high-quality veterinary medicine within a supportive and community-driven culture.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position focused on evenings and weekends as part of the Emergency and Urgent Care service. The schedule is designed to be flexible and transparent to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency and Urgent Care Veterinarian will take a leading role in establishing and growing the hospital’s new emergency and urgent care service. The role involves providing emergency examinations and treatment, urgent care services, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and pain management as needed. The doctor will be supported by an administrative team, allowing focus on patient care and clinical leadership. This opportunity is particularly well suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable practicing emergency and urgent care medicine and is motivated to help shape and develop a new service line within a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a modern, recently expanded facility equipped with a full in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, high-speed dental equipment, cold laser, and a fully equipped surgical suite. Facilities include isolation rooms, dedicated spaces for dentistry and surgery, and cloud-based electronic medical records. Services include wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, spay and neuter procedures, dentistry, pain management, boarding and daycare, and grooming. The practice also offers robust wellness plans to support long-term patient health and maintains a strong community presence by partnering with local shelters and hosting adoption events. The culture emphasizes high-quality care, collaboration, and supporting doctors to practice at their highest level.

Team
The hospital team includes three veterinarians supported by a highly skilled support staff, maintaining a targeted 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
