Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides care exclusively for cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload across the full scope of emergency veterinary medicine, including urgent care, emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and surgery. Doctor hours are open to discussion, allowing the schedule to be agreed based on the needs of the role. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of emergency veterinary services and operates Monday from 8am–12am, Tuesday from 8am–12am, Wednesday and Thursday from 12–10pm, and Friday through Sunday from 8am–12am. The hospital is equipped with IDEXX digital radiology and access to an IDEXX reference laboratory, alongside an IDEXX in-house laboratory featuring ProCyte, SediVue, Catalyst, and coagulation capabilities. Additional equipment includes a Heska Blood Gas Analyzer, Butterfly and SonoScape ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, a surgical ventilator, Hot Dog and Bair Hugger/Bed Jet warming systems, electronic medical records, an isolation ward, a full surgical suite, and two Snyder oxygen units.

Team
The veterinary team consists of four DVMs supported by seven experienced LVTs and skilled CSRs.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
