Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal emergency hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is currently hiring an experienced Emergency Veterinarian. This role is focused on delivering high-level emergency and critical care medicine in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Tuesday from 8am to midnight, Wednesday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm, and Friday to Sunday from 8am to midnight. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility depending on individual preferences and availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves a full scope of emergency and triage responsibilities. The case mix includes urgent care, emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and surgery. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident managing high-acuity cases and making critical decisions in an emergency setting.

Practice Details
This is a fast-paced emergency and triage practice providing critical care and life-saving treatment to surrounding communities. The hospital sees a high volume of high-acuity emergency and urgent care cases and offers the opportunity to practice advanced emergency medicine with an experienced team while maintaining real schedule flexibility and a strong focus on work-life balance. The practice is AAHA accredited and fully equipped with IDEXX digital radiology and reference laboratory services, an IDEXX in-house lab including ProCyte, SediVue, Catalyst, and Coag, a Heska Blood Gas Analyzer, Butterfly and SonoScape ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, a surgical ventilator, Hot Dog and Bair Hugger/Bed Jet warming systems, electronic medical records, an isolation ward, a full surgical suite, and two Snyder oxygen units. The hospital provides full emergency services.

Team
The team consists of five DVMs supported by an excellent support staff, including seven experienced licensed veterinary technicians and skilled client service representatives. The environment is well-supported, allowing veterinarians to focus on delivering high-quality emergency care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
