Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing emergency and specialty veterinary care for dogs and cats across Buzzards Bay and Dennis, Massachusetts. They are seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing emergency and specialty team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers a fast-paced clinical environment with access to a broad range of specialty expertise.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will triage, stabilize, diagnose, and manage urgent and emergent cases, developing diagnostic and treatment plans across a wide variety of emergency presentations. Responsibilities include compassionate client communication, coordinating with referring veterinarians to support continuity of care, maintaining accurate and timely medical records, and collaborating on cases with specialists and emergency clinicians. The role also includes supporting the education and development of interns, residents, and clinical team members. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is a growing emergency and specialty referral center serving Buzzards Bay, Dennis, Cape Cod, and the Islands. Its clinical structure supports advanced emergency and specialty care, with more than 20 specialists working across eight specialties. The hospital also provides rotating and emergency and critical care internship programs, an emergency and critical care residency program, in-house technician training, and continuing education opportunities.

Team
The hospital has more than 20 specialists across eight specialties and a clinical support team that includes more than 60 veterinary technicians, including licensed and VTS technicians, alongside veterinary assistants, client liaisons, Doctors’ Assistants, experienced emergency clinicians, interns, and residents. The environment emphasizes collaboration, learning, respect, compassion, accountability, trust, integrity, professionalism, and multidisciplinary case management.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
