Introduction
A brand new 24/7 veterinary emergency hospital opening in Summer 2026 in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its founding clinical team. This is a unique opportunity to help establish the culture, clinical standards, and workflow of a modern emergency hospital from the ground up. The practice will provide continuous emergency care for the community while fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment where veterinarians are supported in developing their clinical interests and advancing their skills.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays, providing continuous emergency care for the region. Rotating shifts will be structured to ensure consistent patient coverage while maintaining a balanced and sustainable workload for the veterinary team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage urgent and critical cases in a fast-paced emergency setting, providing diagnostics, stabilization, and treatment for a wide range of conditions. Responsibilities include triaging emergency patients, performing diagnostics and medical procedures, communicating treatment plans with pet owners, and collaborating closely with technicians and support staff to deliver efficient and compassionate care. The role also offers opportunities to expand clinical skills in emergency and critical care while contributing to the development of protocols and workflows as the hospital establishes itself.

Practice Details
This newly developed emergency hospital will provide comprehensive emergency veterinary services in a modern facility designed to support advanced medicine. Veterinarians will have access to hands-on advanced skills labs focused on continual clinical growth, including training in surgery, endoscopy, ultrasound, emergency and critical care, HFOT, HBOT, advanced dentistry, and 3D CT imaging. The organization emphasizes clinical autonomy while supporting veterinarians through strong operational resources and collaborative leadership.

Team
The hospital will open with a growing team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, with an emphasis on mentorship and professional development. Experienced clinicians will have opportunities to mentor new graduates and participate in structured learning programs and leadership initiatives.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
