Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established, progressive, and fast-paced small animal emergency practice located in Blue Ridge, GA who are hiring for a Veterinarian. The practice focuses exclusively on small animals, specifically cats and dogs, and is recognized for delivering high-quality, compassionate care in urgent and emergent situations.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital offers flexible scheduling for Emergency Veterinarians. Their operating hours are as follows: Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, Friday from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. These hours support a variety of shift structures, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will be responsible for managing a wide range of medical cases, including gastrointestinal issues, toxicities, cardiovascular and renal emergencies. As well, you will perform emergency surgeries such as GDVs, foreign body removals, C-sections, pyometras, and more. While experience is preferred, the position is open to new graduates who are seeking mentorship.

Practice Details
The clinic is equipped to handle complex emergency cases and offers comprehensive care through in-house lab work, radiology, ultrasonography, hospitalization capabilities (including isolation and oxygen support), a full surgical suite, and intensive care.

Team
The practice is supported by a multi-doctor team and a tenured, experienced group of support staff. The work environment is collaborative and structured to support both experienced veterinarians and those early in their careers through mentorship and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
