Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency hospital located in Blountville, Tennessee, currently seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their dedicated and experienced team. This clinic provides critical and urgent care to pets across the Tri-Cities region and surrounding states, including Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Working Hours / Rota
This full-time role consists of 10 to 12 shifts per month, offering flexibility in scheduling. The hospital provides emergency care services during evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure pets receive timely and essential treatment when they need it most.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of emergency and critical care cases. Duties include performing urgent diagnostics, developing immediate treatment plans, and working closely with clients through high-stress situations. This position is suited for experienced emergency veterinarians who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are committed to delivering high-quality care.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a full diagnostic suite, Cornerstone-integrated digital radiology, ultrasound, and additional advanced tools designed to support high-quality emergency care. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on communication, patient advocacy, and seamless integration with referring primary care veterinarians.
Team
The practice currently includes five DVMs and thirteen experienced technicians, supported by a capable and compassionate support team. The team environment encourages cooperation and continuous professional development, making it a positive and resilient workplace for emergency clinicians.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
