Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join one of the Mid-Atlantic’s leading 24/7 emergency and specialty centers. Caring for cats, dogs, exotics, and avians for more than 30 years, this well-established hospital offers an exciting opportunity to work within a busy emergency setting alongside an experienced clinical team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves the full scope of Emergency Veterinarian responsibilities, managing a varied emergency caseload while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will utilise your strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency cases while working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to achieve the best possible outcomes. Full-time hours are based around a consistent 7:00am–7:00pm schedule, with flexibility available. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian with at least one year of experience in a veterinary emergency setting.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing the full scope of GP and emergency services to cats, dogs, exotics, and avian patients. As one of the Mid-Atlantic’s leading emergency and specialty centers, it offers a fast-paced and well-supported clinical environment where no two days are the same. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, an In-House Laboratory, Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, Ultrasound, and an In-House Pharmacy, all housed within a state-of-the-art veterinary facility designed to support efficient diagnostics and high-quality patient care. As an AAHA-accredited practice, the hospital is committed to maintaining exceptional clinical standards while providing veterinarians with the resources and technology needed to confidently manage a broad range of emergency and critical cases.

Team
You will be joining a team of 10 DVMs, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works seamlessly to deliver exceptional patient care and client service while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
