Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. This AAHA-accredited, large multi-doctor practice provides care for cats and dogs alongside avian and exotic patients, offering around-the-clock emergency and specialty veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Emergency Veterinarian, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergency medical conditions. Responsibilities will include triaging incoming cases, stabilizing critically ill or injured patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing emergency procedures and surgery when required. You will work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team to manage emergency cases and ensure continuity of patient care. The hospital is open to discussing scheduling preferences to see what can be accommodated, while providing doctors with a consistent and predictable schedule. They are looking for experienced veterinarians for this opportunity.

Practice Details
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year and is AAHA accredited. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, internal medicine, geriatric care, avian and exotic medicine, and emergency care. As one of the region’s largest and best-equipped veterinary hospitals, doctors have access to digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, EKG/ECG, and anesthetic monitoring equipment.

Team
You will join a team of 11 DVMs alongside a fantastic support team who work collaboratively to support the veterinarians and provide high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
