Introduction
Our client is an emergency hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency and critical care, including comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, diagnostic procedures, and emergency surgery support. The role involves managing urgent and complex cases, providing client communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, and working collaboratively with the wider team. The position requires an experienced veterinarian capable of handling emergency caseloads in a fast-paced environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as a dedicated emergency and referral facility for after-hours care. It features four exam rooms, a large treatment area, a surgery suite, an isolation unit, and a Snyder ICU oxygen cage. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and monitoring technology including in-house laboratory capabilities such as CBC, chemistry, electrolytes, iStat, and coagulation testing, as well as ultrasound and digital radiography with radiologist consultation options. Additional capabilities include ultrasound-guided procedures, continuous ECG monitoring, mechanical ventilation, transfusion therapy, and advanced patient monitoring systems. Emergency surgeries are supported by a board-certified on-call surgeon. The hospital also utilizes electronic medical records and emphasizes a collaborative, well-supported environment with a strong referral base.

Team
The team consists of 5 DVMs supported by a tenured team including experienced RVTs and veterinary assistants, creating a collaborative and well-supported environment focused on high-quality emergency care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
