Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency veterinary hospital located in West Los Angeles, California. They are actively seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to deliver high-quality critical care alongside a large multidisciplinary team dedicated to complex case management and advanced treatments.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7. The full-time schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, with a mix of day, swing, and night shifts.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate and intensive care for companion animals, collaborating with specialists across emergency & critical care, surgery, neurology, oncology, radiology, and more. The role involves managing high acuity cases, performing emergency procedures, and participating in a fast-paced hospital environment committed to top-tier veterinary medicine.

The hospital is a leading referral institution offering a full suite of specialty services, Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery (including bone & joint, brain & spinal), Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound), Radiation Oncology and Integrative Medicine. The facility is designed for complex and advanced patient care, with appropriate infrastructure and specialists to match.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
