Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital and is hiring for a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian. The practice is a small animal hospital providing medical, surgical, and preventative care for companion animals.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm, with the clinic closed on Sunday. The role is part-time and includes extended evening coverage and a rotating Saturday schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine patients, diagnose medical conditions, and deliver high-quality veterinary care. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, vaccinations, urgent and emergency care, prescribing medications, wound care, and client education. The role involves operating diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography and ultrasound and working collaboratively with the medical team to maintain high standards of patient care. The position is suitable for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and recognized as a Cat Friendly Practice. Facilities and equipment include digital radiography with teleradiology, ultrasound, in-house bloodwork and laboratory analyzers, electronic medical records, and companion laser therapy. Services offered include surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, urgent and emergency care, bathing, microchipping, laser therapy, and boarding services. The practice supports a steady caseload and emphasizes efficient diagnostics, high-quality medicine, and a respectful, team-focused culture.
Team
The practice has four DVMs and an experienced support team. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with an emphasis on communication, teamwork, and delivering consistent, high-quality care to a loyal client base.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
