Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a general practice hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care including comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, diagnostic procedures, and surgery. The role involves strong client communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, and managing pharmacy duties in accordance with protocols. Additional responsibilities include promoting teamwork and staff efficiency, supporting hospital protocols, monitoring cases, and participating in ongoing training and development. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. It is a full-service veterinary hospital offering a wide range of services including preventive care, routine exams, internal medicine, surgery, dental care, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, emergency care, and laser therapy. The practice is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory and imaging capabilities to support same-day testing and accurate diagnoses. The hospital emphasizes high-quality, compassionate care and provides a professional and welcoming environment focused on meeting the needs of both patients and clients.
Team
The team consists of 1 DVM supported by a tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
