Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian at an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital has been serving its community for over 50 years and is well-established with a strong reputation for high-quality, compassionate care. The clinic is seeking a veterinarian to join its four-doctor team and contribute to delivering excellent patient care within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with weekend coverage on a rotating basis, offering a balanced schedule that supports both professional and personal commitments.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a range of clinical services including routine wellness care, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry, managing cases from initial consultation through to treatment and follow-up. There is opportunity for surgical development, including exposure to advanced procedures with mentorship available. The role involves building strong client relationships, delivering clear communication around diagnosis and treatment plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and working closely with a skilled support team. This position is suited to veterinarians who value collaboration and high standards of care, and is open to both experienced veterinarians and those seeking continued development in a supportive setting.

Practice Details
The clinic is AAHA accredited and equipped with in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, a surgical laser, and multiparameter monitoring equipment. Diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms are supported through a mobile veterinary service. The surgical suite includes two heated surgical tables, and pre-operative protocols include IV catheter placement and fluid therapy. The practice operates a paperless system using AVImark medical records and maintains a high surgical caseload supported by partnerships with local rescue organizations. The hospital emphasizes progressive medicine and provides access to a wider network of clinical support for complex cases.

Team
The hospital team consists of four DVMs supported by an experienced and long-standing support staff. Many technicians have been with the practice for over 20 years and are highly utilized across all areas of patient care, including radiography and anesthesia. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong focus on mentorship, communication, and delivering high-quality care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
