Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The practice is a well-established small animal hospital focused on delivering a high standard of care while supporting veterinarians with realistic schedules, clinical autonomy, and strong mentorship. The team is committed to reimagining modern veterinary practice by prioritising both patient care and veterinarian wellbeing. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, with expected hours of approximately 30–40 hours per week. General practice hours are Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday and Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied caseload, with responsibilities including wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, vaccinations, senior wellness, end-of-life care, and client education. The role also involves diagnostic workups, collaboration with support staff, and contributing to a culture that values learning, mentorship, and high-quality medicine. Opportunities exist to work with avian species, pocket pets, behavioural cases, and wildlife emergencies in collaboration with licensed rehabilitators. This position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking support and professional growth.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced medical, diagnostic, security, and computer systems designed to support efficient, modern veterinary care. Facilities are maintained to be clean, comfortable, sanitary, and client-friendly. Services offered include internal medicine, surgery, dental care, laser therapy, imaging, in-house laboratory diagnostics, preventive care, vaccinations, senior wellness, microchipping, behavioural medicine, avian and pocket pet care, and educational opportunities. The practice has a strong reputation for compassionate care and community involvement, including providing emergency treatment for local wildlife.

Team
The veterinary team consists of three DVMs supported by a great and experienced support team that includes managers, nurses, client care specialists, and animal care staff. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with an emphasis on teamwork, professional development, and providing excellent care to both patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
