Introduction
An Associate Veterinarian is needed to join a privately owned, full-service hospital in Bountiful, Utah. The hospital is home to three veterinarians and practices to Fear Free standards, emphasizing a compassionate, low-stress approach to patient care. This is a unique opportunity to join the only independently owned hospital in the area, known for its supportive culture and exceptional reputation among pet parents.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital maintains family-friendly scheduling without overnight or on-call requirements. Flexibility is available for both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates seeking mentorship.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to a diverse caseload of companion animals, with the opportunity to expand into pocket pet medicine if desired. Responsibilities include preventive care, diagnostics, client education, and collaboration with a traveling orthopedic surgeon for advanced procedures. A commitment to teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care is central to the role.
Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with therapy laser, ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and in-house laboratory capabilities. With access to a traveling orthopedic surgeon, the hospital is able to expand its surgical offerings and provide comprehensive services. The team works diligently to meet Fear Free standards, ensuring that patient comfort and emotional well-being are always prioritized.
Team
The incoming doctor will join a team of three veterinarians and a dedicated support staff committed to fostering a collaborative, positive workplace culture. Whether an experienced clinician or a recent graduate, the veterinarian will be supported by strong mentorship opportunities and an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
