Job Description
Introduction
A community-focused veterinary hospital providing General Practice and Urgent Care is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian. Caring for cats and dogs, the hospital combines a welcoming local-practice feel with a modern clinical environment, giving its veterinarians the resources and support they need to practice high-quality medicine while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to manage a varied medical and surgical caseload while having plenty of autonomy over your cases, clinical decision-making, diagnostics, and treatment planning. You’ll have the freedom to practice medicine in a way that works for both you and your patients, with the hospital’s clinical resources and wider team there to support you when needed. The position offers a flexible schedule with no on-call requirement, helping to maintain a healthy balance between work and life outside the hospital. There’s also room to bring your own clinical interests to the role or continue developing an area you’re particularly passionate about. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with support available to help you continue building your confidence and clinical skills.
Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Urgent Care, acupuncture, and laser therapy, giving its veterinarians plenty of variety within their day-to-day caseload. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, Digital Dental Radiography and an In-House Laboratory, with modern laboratory equipment available to support efficient in-house diagnostics. The practice also benefits from surgical facilities and modern equipment to support its wider medical, dental, and surgical caseload. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Team
You’ll be joining a collaborative veterinary and support team that values good communication, teamwork, and the relationships built with clients and their pets. The environment encourages veterinarians to talk through cases, share ideas, and lean on one another’s experience when needed, while still having the independence to manage their own patients. The wider technical and client service teams provide support with patient care and the day-to-day running of the hospital, helping to create a friendly environment where everyone can continue learning and developing together.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
