Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Serving Woodbridge, Lake Ridge and the wider Northern Virginia community for more than 15 years, the hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats within a full-service General Practice environment. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and early-career doctors, with individualized mentorship available alongside clinical autonomy and opportunities for continued professional development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will maintain responsibility for their own cases, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and communicating clinical findings and recommendations effectively with clients. The hospital supports clinical autonomy, allowing veterinarians to make appropriate medical decisions for their patients while working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider support team. Individualized mentorship, case discussion and structured professional development are available to support both early-career veterinarians and experienced doctors looking to further develop their clinical interests.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside same-day Urgent Care and advanced medical and surgical care, with established referral relationships available for patients requiring additional specialist or Emergency support. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Radiography, Ultrasound, Digital Dental Radiography, In-House Laboratory Testing, a Blood Chemistry Analyzer and Complete Blood Count Analyzer, alongside an advanced surgical suite and modern patient monitoring capabilities. The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an established veterinary and support team with a strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship and open clinical communication. The hospital has 2 Veterinarians that are supported by a Practice Manager, Veterinary Assistants, client service professionals and additional support staff who contribute to the delivery of appointments, diagnostics, procedures and ongoing patient care. Early-career veterinarians have access to individualized mentorship, teaching and regular case discussion, while experienced veterinarians are provided with the clinical autonomy and resources to continue developing their individual interests.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
