Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital and is hiring for a Veterinarian. The hospital is a long-standing general practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets. The role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit team with a focus on collaboration, long-term growth, and high-quality patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sunday. The schedule is flexible, with the role available on a full-time or part-time basis and typically structured across three to four working days per week. There are no late nights or on-call responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care while building strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, diagnostic workups, in-house laboratory interpretation, general and advanced surgery including spay and neuter procedures, dentistry, anesthesia and pain management, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, and pocket pet medicine. The role supports collaborative case management and values thoughtful, individualized care at every life stage. The position is open to veterinarians with an interest in teamwork and high standards of medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service facility offering preventative care, diagnostic care, surgical and dental services, and care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Equipment and capabilities include a full in-house laboratory, advanced diagnostic testing, and support for general and advanced surgical procedures with modern pain management protocols. The caseload is varied and supported by a culture focused on quality medicine, client communication, and compassionate care. The practice also offers pocket pet services for species including rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, ferrets, and small rodents.

Team
The medical team currently consists of one DVM, supported by an experienced and collaborative support team. The working environment emphasizes teamwork, mutual support, and building strong relationships within the hospital and the wider community.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
