Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a brand-new small animal practice opening in January 2027. The position is ideally full-time, although part-time candidates will also be considered, with the hospital exclusively caring for cats and dogs. This veterinary group is transforming the veterinary care experience from the ground up, creating a culture where professionals can thrive, grow, and practice their best medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care, with responsibilities across wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. The role is suited to a veterinarian with at least two years of experience. Full-time doctors will typically work four days per week with rotating Saturdays, with an emphasis on work-life balance, collaboration, and professional development because caring for pets starts with caring for veterinary teams.

Practice Details
The brand-new hospital is aiming to open in January 2027 and will operate from 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. The practice will be well equipped with digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, and more. The hospital will offer a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry.

Team
The hospital is looking to establish a team of at least one Lead Veterinarian and one Associate Veterinarian ahead of its planned opening in January 2027. The practice aims to maintain a high doctor-to-technician ratio, allowing veterinarians to focus on practicing medicine while being fully supported by experienced, skilled team members.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
