Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established small animal general practice and urgent care clinic, providing care to companion animals within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The role can be full-time or part-time and flexible scheduling is available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves delivering high-quality veterinary care across a small animal caseload, including wellness and preventive care, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care. Responsibilities include performing medical, surgical, and dental procedures, managing cases, and building strong client relationships while working collaboratively within the team. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and clinical development opportunities available.
Practice Details
This is a full-service small animal hospital offering general practice and urgent care services, with facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and laser therapy. Services provided include puppy and kitten care, wellness and senior care, parasite prevention, dental care, diagnostics, surgical care, emergency and urgent care, boarding, daycare, grooming, spaying and neutering, and laser therapy, as well as advanced procedures such as biopsies, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgeries, and tumor removal. The practice has been serving the community for over 35 years and is known for its high-quality care, strong client relationships, and collaborative, team-oriented culture.
Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by experienced technicians, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
