Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian position. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals and is seeking an experienced veterinarian to support medical, surgical, and client-focused care within a busy multi-disciplinary environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7 for emergency services. General practice and specialty services run Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Specific doctor schedules, weekend rotations, and after-hours responsibilities are to be discussed with the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced veterinarians only. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive patient examinations, diagnostic work-ups, client communication and education, performing diagnostic procedures and surgery, maintaining accurate medical records, and managing pharmacy duties in line with controlled substance protocols. The Associate Veterinarian will promote teamwork and staff efficiency, collaborate with hospital leadership on priorities and expectations, evaluate and monitor daily hospital protocols from intake through discharge, monitor hospitalized cases, attend daily rounds when possible, and participate in practice management updates and training. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support hospital operations and patient care standards.

Services include preventive care, routine exams and vaccinations, dental care, geriatric care, elective and non-elective surgery, specialty surgery, and 24/7 emergency services. The hospital is currently supported by 7 DVMs and a well-tenured support team, fostering a collaborative working environment focused on teamwork, efficiency, and shared commitment to patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
