Job Description

Introduction
This full-service small animal hospital in Wilsonville, Oregon is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its friendly, collaborative team. The practice provides everything from routine preventative care through to urgent cases and more advanced services, with a strong emphasis on personalised medicine and building lasting relationships with clients. Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply, with personalised mentorship available and plenty of opportunity to develop individual clinical interests.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, providing a consistent weekday schedule with no regular weekend working. The position is full-time, with a varied caseload encompassing wellness appointments, sick visits and urgent care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for small animal patients, including wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery and urgent care. You’ll perform examinations, develop treatment plans and work closely with the wider clinical team to provide personalised care and clear client communication. New graduates can benefit from dedicated mentorship as they develop their confidence and independence, while experienced veterinarians will have support to pursue their existing interests and continue expanding their clinical skill set. An interest in surgery is particularly welcomed but is not essential.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive general practice medicine alongside a broader range of services including cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, laser therapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy and stem cell therapy. Veterinarians are supported by skilled technicians, dedicated client service staff and an established leadership team within a relaxed, flexible culture that still places a strong emphasis on high-quality medicine. The practice also partners with a local animal shelter, reflecting its commitment to supporting pets beyond its existing client base.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
