Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats, with a strong emphasis on Fear Free medicine and creating a calm, low-stress environment. The hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the team, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The practice follows a veterinarian-led approach, focusing on personalized patient care, clinical excellence, and work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including wellness examinations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, performing procedures, and communicating treatment plans to clients. Veterinarians typically see 10–15 appointments per day, allowing more time for individualized care. The hospital is specifically seeking an experienced veterinarian who values collaboration and is willing to become Fear Free certified if not already certified.

Practice Details
The hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility designed around Fear Free principles, featuring species-specific examination rooms, frosted glass, and no traditional waiting rooms. Equipment and services include digital X-rays, laser therapy, stem cell therapy, immunotherapy, plasma therapy, and underwater treadmill rehabilitation. Full-time schedules range from 24–32 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Wednesdays closed.

Team
The hospital currently has two DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, professional development, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
