Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital that is currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its dedicated and professional team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on both Saturdays and Sundays. The Associate Veterinarian’s working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a consistent and predictable schedule. The position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and the practice is happy to discuss scheduling. There are no out-of-hours or emergency care requirements associated with this role, allowing for a balanced lifestyle.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions, as well as providing comprehensive medical and surgical care. The role includes performing surgical procedures, operating diagnostic equipment such as x-ray machines, prescribing medications, and advising pet owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatment plans. The veterinarian will manage a varied caseload that includes wellness care, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgical cases. - Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
