Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to practice high-quality small animal medicine in a collaborative, community-focused environment. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care across a varied small animal caseload, including wellness and preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, routine surgery, and dentistry. Responsibilities include developing individualised treatment plans, educating clients, building long-term relationships with pet owners, and collaborating closely with veterinarians and support staff to deliver compassionate, high-quality medicine. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who values teamwork, client communication, and exceptional patient care.

Practice Details
This well-established full-service small animal hospital has been serving Wilkesboro and the surrounding communities for more than six decades. The practice provides personalised veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout every stage of life and has earned recognition as the “Best Veterinary Clinic” by local community readers. The hospital offers a refreshed standalone facility and a broad range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, boarding, diagnostics, dermatology, laser therapy, end-of-life care, and daytime urgent and emergency care. The practice also provides preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, advanced orthopaedic procedures, and comprehensive dentistry. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of three DVMs and a great tenured support staff who work together in a collaborative environment focused on delivering outstanding patient care. The practice encourages teamwork, mentorship, continuous learning, and professional development while fostering lasting relationships with clients and the local community.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
