Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their practice while maintaining an active clinical caseload. This is a leadership opportunity within a collaborative, client-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with 24/7 emergency care available. The role includes a balance of clinical and administrative responsibilities with dedicated time for leadership duties.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will guide medical standards, establish protocols, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care across the hospital. Responsibilities include mentoring veterinarians and clinical staff, leading team development, supporting recruitment and performance management, and collaborating with hospital leadership on strategic planning and operational performance. The role also involves maintaining an active clinical caseload, supporting advanced medical care, and fostering a positive and collaborative hospital culture. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a full-service veterinary hospital providing care for dogs, cats, and exotic and small-pocket pets. The practice offers a wide range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, surgery including laser surgery, spay and neuter procedures, dental care, laser therapy, boarding, advanced diagnostics, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, behavior consultations, emergency care, nutrition, and weight management. The facility is equipped with digital radiography, diagnostic equipment, laser therapy tools, a state-of-the-art underwater treadmill, boarding facilities, an in-house pharmacy, and dedicated consultation and procedure areas. The hospital emphasizes compassionate, personalized care and a strong culture of collaboration, professional development, and clinical excellence.

Team
The team consists of 13 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a highly collaborative and well-supported environment focused on mentorship and growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
