Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital located in Whitsett, North Carolina, and they are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their established small animal practice. The hospital provides companion animal care primarily to dogs and cats, with an existing exotics and pocket pet clientele for veterinarians who wish to practice in those areas. This role is well suited to a veterinarian who values high-quality medicine, medical autonomy, and working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This position is offering a flexible and consistent weekly schedule. The Associate Veterinarian will work two to three days per week, including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one rotating day. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. No after-hours or on-call responsibilities are specified for this role.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive small animal medicine while tailoring their caseload to align with their professional interests. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, surgery including laser surgery, spay and neuter procedures, dentistry, diagnostics, emergency care, behavior consultations, nutrition and weight management, and ongoing patient care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and ongoing training available to support professional development.

Practice Details
The hospital operates as a full-service companion animal clinic with a large and spacious facility situated on three acres. The practice is equipped to support high-quality medicine through advanced diagnostics, laser surgery capabilities, laser therapy, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, and access to an online pharmacy. Additional services include boarding, dental care, emergency care, and behavior consultations. The hospital culture emphasizes teamwork, medical excellence, and strong client communication, while maintaining a welcoming and community-oriented atmosphere.

Team
The hospital is currently supported by a team of three veterinarians and a dedicated support staff. The working environment is collaborative and focused on mentorship, career development, and providing veterinarians with the resources and support needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
