Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service hybrid veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic combines general practice with a fully functioning emergency and urgent care center, providing comprehensive care across a wide range of clinical needs.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups, conducting diagnostic procedures and surgery, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves strong client communication and education, prescribing medications, and following controlled substance protocols. Additional duties include collaborating with the Hospital Manager on operational priorities, monitoring cases and attending rounds, supporting daily hospital workflows, and contributing to team efficiency and ongoing training initiatives.

Practice Details
The hospital is a state-of-the-art 9,000 square foot facility offering both general practice and emergency and urgent care services seven days a week. It is equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography including dental, ultrasound, endoscopy, and two updated surgical suites. Services include vaccinations and prevention, routine exams, lab and diagnostics, dental care, acupuncture, geriatric care, surgical services including soft tissue procedures, and spaying and neutering. The practice supports high-quality medicine through experienced staff and a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, enabling efficient workflows and excellent patient care.

Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, with a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
