Introduction
This independently owned small animal hospital in Westminster, Colorado is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team. The practice recently moved into a modern, purpose-built facility and is looking for a confident, independent veterinarian with a particular interest in medicine who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients. With advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, 30-minute appointments and an owner veterinarian committed to supporting the incoming doctor’s growth, this is an opportunity to develop both a strong caseload and your clinical interests within a progressive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed at weekends. This is a full-time position, with appointments scheduled in 30-minute blocks. The incoming veterinarian will initially see approximately 8 to 10 appointments per day, with the practice actively supporting them in developing their client base and gradually increasing their caseload over time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll independently manage a broad small animal medical caseload while providing preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry and surgery. A strong interest in medicine and the confidence to work cases independently are particularly important, alongside an outgoing approach and the ability to develop lasting client relationships. Experience in dentistry or ultrasonography would be an advantage but is not essential. The hospital also offers excellent exposure to advanced procedures, with opportunities to further develop skills across soft tissue, orthopaedic and minimally invasive surgery.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a modern facility with eight exam rooms and extensive diagnostic and surgical capabilities. Equipment includes digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, comprehensive in-house laboratory equipment and laparoscopy, supporting procedures including laparoscopic spays and gastropexies, liver biopsies, rhinoscopy and video otoscopy. More advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, including TPLOs and fracture repairs, are also performed. You’ll work alongside the owner veterinarian, visiting mobile specialists and an experienced support team, with mentorship available for doctors looking to expand their surgical capabilities. Future partnership opportunities may also be available for the right veterinarian as the practice continues to grow.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
