Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing mixed animal care for dogs, cats, and a wide variety of exotic species, and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is a distinctive practice offering the opportunity to work across multiple species, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals, within a collaborative and clinically advanced environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm and Saturday to Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The role is open to full-time or part-time applicants, with weekend coverage included as part of the rota.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will diagnose and treat patients, perform surgeries, and develop comprehensive treatment plans while delivering high-quality veterinary care. Responsibilities include client communication, educating pet owners on preventative care, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves working collaboratively with the veterinary team, contributing to a positive hospital culture, and continuing to develop clinical skills across both small animals and exotics. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

This is a mixed animal hospital known for its diverse caseload, caring for dogs, cats, and exotic species such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals. The practice is equipped with advanced technology including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, magnification equipment, and electro-surgery tools. The hospital provides a wide range of services including wellness exams, exotic pet services, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental care, surgeries, spays and neuters, end-of-life care, sick visits, health certificates, and specialized procedures such as molar trims and beak trims. Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
