Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian. This clinic provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats and rabbits, offering routine wellness services, involved medical case management and surgery within a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The current hospital hours are Tuesday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Full-time is preferred, but part-time will be considered. The schedule includes rotating weekends.
Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include routine wellness care, management of involved medical cases and surgery for dogs, cats and rabbits. Services incorporated in this role include allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, DNA breed testing, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, health exams, hospitalization, internal medicine, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries and spay and neuter procedures. Additional clinical tools and services include use of a Tonopen, ultrasound and participation in advanced care and soft tissue surgery.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound and hands-free radiology and uses fear-free techniques when possible. Facilities include an in-house pharmacy, an in-office surgical suite and an isolation ward. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and offers advanced care and primary care services within a supportive and collaborative culture focused on high standards of preventive and healing care.
Team
The hospital has 3 DVMs and 17 support staff, including 4 Registered Veterinary Technicians, working together as a skilled and collaborative team.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
