Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking an Associate Large/Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position working primarily with large animals, including food animal, dairy, and swine, with some involvement in small animal care. The practice is a fast-paced, true mixed-animal environment dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, and production care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload with a strong focus on large animal medicine, including production animal services, reproductive work, herd health consultation, and emergency and critical care. Additional responsibilities include diagnostics, surgical procedures, preventative care, and supporting small animal services as needed. The role involves working closely with clients to provide consultation, data analysis, and herd management strategies. Doctor hours follow a full-time schedule. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and professional development.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is equipped with advanced facilities including a state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, and specialized large animal equipment such as ultrasound units, hydraulic chute facilities, and embryo transfer laboratories. Facilities also include consultation rooms, a dedicated surgery suite, and embryo housing and laboratory spaces. Services offered include diagnostic lab services, digital imaging, reproductive evaluation, embryo transfer, production animal services, herd health consultation, emergency and critical care, preventative care, surgical services, and pet wellness care. The practice emphasizes delivering cutting-edge large animal services alongside modern small animal care, supported by strong infrastructure and a commitment to continuous advancement.

Team
The team consists of 11 DVMs supported by a collaborative and experienced staff, fostering a mentoring-focused environment with strong teamwork and shared expertise across multiple areas of veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
