Our client is a well-established hospital in Columbia, SC, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. The practice has been serving the West Columbia community for over 18 years and is led by a husband-and-wife DVM team who are passionate about providing exceptional care. This bustling hospital offers general services and surgical care, supported by modern facilities and a compassionate approach.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position, with flexible scheduling available to support a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care across wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and dental services. Duties will include conducting physical examinations, performing medical and surgical procedures, and educating clients on preventative healthcare. The role also emphasizes strong client communication and building lasting relationships within the community. This position is well-suited to veterinarians who value collaboration and are committed to compassionate care.

Practice Details
The hospital has been recently renovated and now features 4 exam rooms and a spacious layout to support an efficient workflow. The practice is equipped with advanced technology, including sevoflurane anesthesia, cardiac, respiratory, and pulse oximetry monitors, EKG, blood pressure monitoring, digital radiography, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a fully equipped laboratory. Additional facilities include power lift tables, computers in exam rooms, and areas dedicated to both grooming and boarding. Services provided include wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, emergency support, grooming, and boarding. The practice culture is collaborative and family-oriented, with monthly meetings that ensure open communication and teamwork.

Team
This is a two-doctor practice led by a husband-and-wife team, supported by a brilliant and compassionate group of support staff. The hospital prides itself on treating every patient as if they were their own pet and maintaining strong community connections.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
