Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal practice offering both general practice and urgent care services and is currently hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and emergency care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is AAHA accredited.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position consisting of 36 clinical hours per week, including rotating weekend coverage. The hospital operates daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, with holiday hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hospitalization care and monitoring are provided 24/7.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian role includes a dynamic mix of general practice and urgent care cases. Daily responsibilities involve examining patients, diagnosing conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgeries, administering vaccinations, operating diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography, prescribing medications, and advising clients on medical care and treatment plans. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is a large, AAHA-accredited small animal facility with extensive infrastructure to support high-quality medicine. Facilities include multiple exam rooms, state-of-the-art surgical suites, wet tables, and dedicated space for in-house continuing education. Equipment and services include digital radiology, endoscopy, laser surgery, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services, blood pressure monitoring, dentistry, internal medicine, urgent and emergency care, hospitalization, and a walk-up pharmacy. The caseload spans wellness, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, and hospitalization, supported by a culture that values collaboration and professional development.

Team
The team currently includes 10 DVMs and a highly experienced, tenured support staff. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with strong clinical and technical support available throughout each shift.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
