Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Open to both full-time and part-time applicants, this opportunity is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates looking to practice comprehensive medicine in a well-established hospital with a strong reputation for compassionate care, advanced services, and professional collaboration.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care across a varied caseload, including wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, urgent care, and surgical procedures. Responsibilities include building long-term relationships with clients, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, educating pet owners, and delivering exceptional patient care while working alongside an experienced veterinary and support team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilise a broad range of clinical skills while contributing to a positive, collaborative hospital culture. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This full-service veterinary hospital has been serving the Waynesville community since 1953 and provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Services include wellness and preventative care, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, veterinary internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, endocrinology, laser therapy, rehabilitation, and blood transfusions. The hospital provides urgent care services seven days a week, allowing veterinarians to manage a diverse and rewarding caseload while delivering timely medical care. The practice is associated with the American Veterinary Medical Association and is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment. Hospital hours are Monday through Sunday from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

The hospital is supported by a collaborative team of 9 DVMs and a highly tenured support staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The team values collaboration, communication, and continuous professional development, creating an environment where veterinarians can build lasting client relationships while continuing to grow their clinical skills.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
