Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Washington, D.C. is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats within a full-service General Practice environment. The position provides the opportunity to manage a broad small animal caseload with access to advanced clinical care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, developing effective client relationships and communicating diagnostic findings and treatment recommendations clearly. Veterinarians are supported in maintaining clinical autonomy and responsibility for their own cases while working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services such as wellness, soft tissue surgery, dentistry diagnostics as well as advanced services; Orthopedic Surgery, Cardiology and Ophthalmology. The well-equipped practice provides access to modern diagnostic equipment (x-ray and tonometry and more), allowing the veterinary team to manage a wide range of medical and surgical cases in-house. The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has an established 12-veterinarian team, including a Medical Director, two founding veterinarians and nine Associate Veterinarians. The veterinary team is supported by experienced clinical and client service professionals, providing a collaborative structure for the delivery of appointments, diagnostics, surgery and ongoing patient care. The size and experience of the team provide access to a broad range of clinical knowledge while allowing the incoming Associate Veterinarian to maintain responsibility for their own caseload and continue developing their individual clinical interests.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
