Introduction
Our client is a privately owned small animal veterinary hospital that is currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing and progressive team. The practice primarily sees cats and dogs but is open to expanding the species treated if an incoming veterinarian has a particular interest they would like to develop. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Veterinarians typically work between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, following a four-day work week, with no weekends and no out-of-hours responsibilities. This is a full-time position offering an excellent work-life balance, predictable scheduling, and protected personal time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive general practice care across a varied caseload, including physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, preventative care, and routine surgical and dental procedures. Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute blocks, allowing time for thorough exams and meaningful client communication, with two dedicated surgery days built into the schedule. This role is open to students, new graduates, and experienced veterinarians, with structured mentorship available to support confidence, skill development, and long-term career growth.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital medical records with AI-assisted documentation, and a dental machine. The practice is open to investing further in technology and would consider purchasing ultrasound equipment should an incoming veterinarian wish to develop or expand diagnostic capabilities. Services offered include anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, pain management, internal medicine, surgery, vaccinations, therapeutic services, pharmacy, and preventative care, creating a well-rounded and engaging caseload.

Team
You will work alongside one experienced DVM, supported by a strong and reliable team that includes a receptionist and three veterinary assistants on-site at all times. The practice culture is collaborative, supportive, and intentionally designed to ensure veterinarians are never overwhelmed or working in isolation. This close-knit team structure allows for excellent communication, efficiency, and a positive day-to-day working experience.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
