Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian for either a full-time or part-time opportunity working with avians, cats, dogs, fish, pot-bellied pigs, rabbits, reptiles, small mammals, and ZooMED species. This role offers the opportunity to join a state-of-the-art practice focused on delivering high-quality medicine with a strong emphasis on patient comfort, Fear Free techniques, and collaborative care. The hospital is seeking a veterinarian with strong exotics experience, while also welcoming students and new graduates with dedicated mentorship available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care across a diverse caseload including companion animals and exotic species. Responsibilities include wellness exams, diagnostics, anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, surgery, and client education while building strong relationships with pet owners. The role involves collaborating closely with an experienced team in a Fear Free environment and participating in rotating opening, closing, and weekend shifts as part of a four-day workweek. Veterinarians with experience treating birds, reptiles, and small mammals are highly valued.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited and Cat Friendly practice operates from a newly built state-of-the-art facility designed to reduce stress and improve patient comfort, including species-separated treatment areas and iCalm music throughout the hospital. The hospital is committed to hands-free radiology and is staffed primarily by Fear Free Certified professionals. Services include preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, digital radiology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, reproductive services, ultrasound, anesthesia, hospitalization, pain management, in-house laboratory diagnostics, oxygen and transfusion therapy, soft tissue surgery, and routine surgical procedures including spays and neuters. Additional services include microchipping, parasite prevention, geriatric medicine, allergy and dermatology care, diabetes management, and reproductive medicine. The hospital is open seven days a week from 7:20 AM to 8:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.

The hospital is supported by 12 DVMs and a great tenured support team including 15 CVTs, 20 assistants, and 20 client service representatives. The culture is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and committed to continuous learning and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
