Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities in a well-established small animal practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care across a broad range of services including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care. Responsibilities include examining patients, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and developing comprehensive treatment plans. You will also be expected to build strong client relationships, educate pet owners, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
This is a long-established small animal hospital serving the community since 1986, with a strong reputation within the community. The practice provides comprehensive services including wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, and urgent care, supporting a varied caseload from routine to complex cases. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic technology and supports advanced medical and surgical care within the clinic. The environment is described as comfortable, calm, and welcoming. Operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and closed on Sunday. The practice emphasizes continuous learning, mentorship, and professional development.
Team
The team consists of 16 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a highly collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
