Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a dedicated Equine Veterinarian to join their team. This hospital supports a multispecies environment made up of 70% equine, 25% small animal, and 5% small ruminant patients. The hospital is recruiting for a full-time veterinarian to further strengthen their equine services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm, and closed on Sundays with on-call coverage as needed. The role is full-time, and doctor hours are open to discussion.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing high-quality clinical care across a diverse caseload. A special interest in sports medicine and lameness is highly desired, although all qualified experienced applicants will be considered. Daily responsibilities will align with equine-focused medical needs and the hospital’s service offerings.

Practice Details
The practice supports all disciplines of equine sports, ranging from backyard companions to elite sport horses. Although the work is primarily ambulatory, the hospital features a 10,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility equipped with four stalls, including two mare and foal stalls and isolation, indoor stocks, and on-site RVTs who provide 24-hour care as needed.

The hospital is a 6-doctor practice supported by a well-trained team, fostering a collaborative environment aligned with high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
