Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides comprehensive care exclusively for dogs and cats, with a focus on preventative medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, and surgery. The practice offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates to continue developing their clinical skills.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general practice care including wellness examinations, vaccinations, preventative medicine, dentistry, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. The role includes routine dental cleanings and dental radiography alongside general and soft tissue surgery. Veterinarians have access to in-house diagnostic capabilities, with additional ultrasound and consultation support available from a local internist. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome to apply, with new graduates and current students offered an individualized six-month mentorship program. The position is based on a full-time 40-hour work week.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, Tonopen, an in-house pharmacy, and an in-house surgical suite, with ultrasound and consultation services available through a local internist. Services include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, dental radiography, general and soft tissue surgery, routine spays and neuters, cryosurgery, dermatology, diabetes care, pain management, geriatric medicine, allergy and skin care, behavioral and nutritional counseling, weight management, health certificates, microchipping, radiology, and euthanasia services. After-hours cases can be referred to nearby emergency hospitals.

Team
The hospital has two DVMs and operates within a collaborative, team-focused environment. New graduates receive structured mentorship designed to support their clinical development and confidence, while the wider environment emphasizes teamwork, continued learning, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
