Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a part-time basis. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care with a focus on preventive medicine, diagnostics, treatment, surgery, dentistry, and client communication.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat disease, and provide preventive care based on each patient’s individual needs. Responsibilities include developing problem lists, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and appropriate treatments, maintaining detailed medical records, and creating treatment plans for patients requiring day hospitalization. The veterinarian will coordinate transitions to overnight or referral care when necessary, ensure continuity of care and diagnostic follow-up, communicate clearly with clients, and participate in clinical rounds. Surgical and dental capabilities are preferred, including spays and neuters, abdominal exploratory procedures, mass removals, dental extractions, and oral surgical procedures. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides routine wellness care, vaccinations, microchipping, care for illness and injury, imaging, and flea, tick, and heartworm care. Surgical and dental capabilities include both routine and complex procedures. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.

The hospital environment emphasizes teamwork, communication, knowledge sharing, and continuity of patient care. Veterinarians participate in clinical rounds and share their knowledge with the wider team to support the standard of care provided to patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
