Introduction
This AAHA-accredited and Fear Free small animal hospital in Vancouver, Washington is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice currently has one veterinarian and provides comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats, with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine alongside more advanced medical and surgical cases. The opportunity is open to veterinarians at different stages of their careers, with support available for new graduates as they develop their clinical confidence and experience.

Working Hours / Rota
The position is based entirely within the hospital, with scheduling that may include longer shifts, Saturdays, evenings and holidays depending on rota requirements. The practice places an emphasis on creating sustainable careers for its veterinary team while providing the flexibility required to support its patient caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive small animal care across preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, emergency and critical care. You’ll manage your own cases while working closely with the Principal Doctor and support team, maintaining clear client communication and high clinical standards. The position also provides opportunities to contribute to the development of the wider team through clinical guidance and training, with new graduates supported in gradually developing these responsibilities as their experience grows.

The hospital is AAHA accredited and Fear Free, operating from a modern, purpose-designed facility focused on creating a comfortable environment for both patients and the veterinary team. Clinical services include surgery, dentistry with dental radiography, internal medicine, emergency and critical care alongside puppy and kitten wellness, routine examinations and preventative healthcare. You’ll join a growing team with access to wider clinical and operational support while retaining the day-to-day environment of a community-focused veterinary hospital.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
