Built around the idea that good veterinary medicine shouldn’t come at the expense of manageable days and a life outside of work, this modern small animal hospital in Valencia, Pennsylvania is looking to welcome a Veterinarian. Providing care for dogs and cats, the hospital combines comprehensive General Practice with modern in-house diagnostics, dentistry and surgery, while placing a strong emphasis on clinical autonomy and having enough support around you to practice medicine properly. With flexible scheduling, manageable caseloads, no after-hours expectations and weekends closed, there’s a particularly nice balance here for someone who wants to enjoy their working environment while still continuing to develop clinically.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of cases across preventive medicine, diagnostics, treatment planning, dentistry and surgery. Surgical and dental responsibilities can be shaped around your individual comfort level, giving you the freedom to practice within your strengths while continuing to develop the areas that interest you. There’s a strong emphasis on thoughtful treatment planning, client relationships and making your own clinical decisions rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. You’ll also have an experienced team around you to collaborate with and bounce ideas off, with leadership that actively encourages professional growth and clinical autonomy. The schedule is flexible, with manageable caseloads and no after-hours expectations.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a brand-new, modern facility and provides a full scope of GP services, including comprehensive dentistry, diagnostic medicine, same-day appointments and Soft Tissue Surgery. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography with AI-Assisted Image Analysis, Ultrasound, Digital Dental Radiography and In-House Laboratory capabilities, alongside a modern surgical suite with dedicated anesthetic monitoring. Ultrasound is performed in-house, while surgical capabilities extend beyond routine procedures into mass removals, wound and laceration repair, biopsies, hernia repair, cystotomies, minor ocular procedures and oral surgery. Current opening hours are Monday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM–7:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with the hospital closed Saturday and Sunday.

Team
You’ll currently be joining a 2-DVM team, including a Medical Director, alongside a Certified Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistants, client service and practice management support. The hospital describes itself as a close-knit, team-first environment, with collaboration and communication forming an important part of the way cases and everyday workloads are managed. There’s plenty of opportunity to work closely with the existing doctors and technical team, while still having the independence to make your own medical decisions and develop genuine relationships with clients. The overall setup feels particularly suited to someone who wants good people around them and enough support to enjoy their day without losing the autonomy that makes General Practice rewarding.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
