Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital in Turlock seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. Since 1993, the practice has provided gold-standard veterinary care with professionalism and compassion, offering a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of pets and their families.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and weekends from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Associate Veterinarian role either full-time or part-time within these hours, with weekend coverage shared among the team. There are no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care for cats, dogs, and exotic pets, including preventive health, dentistry, internal medicine, geriatric support, and a variety of surgical services. Areas of focus include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, oncology, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and urgent care. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering strong client relationships in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Practice Details
This hospital offers an extensive range of services, from routine wellness exams and vaccinations to advanced surgery, rehabilitation, cancer care, and exotic pet treatment. The facility is equipped with a modern in-house diagnostic laboratory, offering radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, and digital dental X-rays. With a reputation built over three decades, the hospital is known for its dedication to quality medicine and compassionate service.

Team
The practice is staffed with 8 DVMs supported by a skilled team of technicians and support staff. The collaborative environment emphasizes professionalism, compassion, and teamwork, ensuring pets receive the highest standard of care while staff are supported in delivering their best.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
