Job Description
Introduction
This well-established small animal hospital in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its two-doctor team. The practice has a strong community focus and provides comprehensive general veterinary care within a close-knit and collaborative environment. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates looking for a supportive setting in which to continue developing their clinical skills.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with Saturdays and Sundays closed. This provides a weekday-only hospital schedule with no regular weekend opening hours and an early finish each Friday.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive small animal medicine, including preventative care, diagnostic work-ups, medical case management, surgery and dentistry. You’ll manage patients from initial examination and diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care, while building lasting relationships with clients through clear communication and education. You’ll work closely with the hospital’s veterinarians, technicians and support staff, with an emphasis on teamwork, efficient patient care and continued clinical development.

The hospital currently has a two-doctor veterinary team and has developed an established presence within the Tucson community. The practice provides comprehensive general medicine alongside diagnostics, surgery and dentistry, supported by an experienced veterinary and technical team. Its collaborative environment makes the opportunity suitable for an experienced veterinarian or a newer graduate looking to build confidence and develop their skills within an established general practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
