Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary clinic in Trumbull, Connecticut, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. Established in 2003 as a house call practice and later expanded into a remodeled 1918 craftsman-style home, the hospital combines state-of-the-art resources with a warm, welcoming environment to deliver exceptional care for dogs and cats.
Working Hours / Rota
This position can be either full-time or part-time. Hospital hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, dermatology, dental care, and geriatric care. Surgical responsibilities include soft tissue surgery, orthopedic procedures, dental surgery, spaying and neutering, C-sections, and a range of specialized procedures such as TTA, pyometra surgery, cystectomy, amputations, and foreign body removals. This role is open to experienced veterinarians who are committed to compassionate, individualized patient care.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including digital radiography, digital dental X-rays, ultrasound, ECG/EKG, and a full in-house laboratory for bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal exams. The practice offers same-day emergency appointments during business hours and emphasizes a friendly, relaxed atmosphere while maintaining high medical standards.
Team
The hospital has 2 DVMs and a great tenured support staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality medicine and long-term client relationships.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
