Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal, exotic, and avian patients and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Massachusetts. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while building strong relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include conducting examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, educating clients, and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Clinical exposure includes wellness care, internal medicine diagnostics and treatment, surgery, dentistry, emergency care, behavioral counseling, dietary counseling, and preventative healthcare. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload that includes small animals, birds, reptiles, and small mammals while practicing progressive medicine supported by advanced diagnostic resources. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital provides progressive and comprehensive veterinary care for small animal, exotic, and avian patients. The practice has a strong focus on internal medicine diagnostics and treatment protocols and offers access to internal specialty consultations and resources to support advanced medical decision-making. Equipment and facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, a fully stocked pharmacy, and surgical facilities. Services offered include wellness visits for canine, feline, avian, reptile, and small mammal patients; surgical procedures including spays, neuters, dentistry, growth removals, and other specialized surgeries; in-house laboratory testing; digital radiographs; microchip identification; pharmacy services; individualized flea and tick control programs; dietary counseling; behavioral counseling; and emergency care. The practice is committed to ongoing education and professional development, ensuring patients receive modern veterinary care supported by current medical standards. Hospital hours are Monday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
